why doesnt she get a strike?

her banner is huge!! and she is never yelled at for it!

same with me! they cut the featured stories so much more slack

As long as your banner is 'linked' meaning that when you roll over the banner, you can click on it and it will take you to another website, you're fine. You just can't have the over-sized banner tugging on JBFF's servers.

By 'linked' I mean you can click on the banner and it takes you to another website, therefore JBFF isn't hosting the image, the other site is.

all banners are linked through other sites but if they are too large they get striked when the featured stories dont

Not all banners are still hosted by the site they were uploaded to though, if you can not click on a banner, then that means JBFF is having to host the image and not another website. As long as the image can be clicked on, and you're taken to another site, then you're okay. If not, then you will receive a strike.

thats not how it works. i think you should read the rules. it doesn't matter whose hosting what, you have to have a banner at a certain size

This is Tiffanie, Site Admin for JBFF. I just wanted to clarify and confirm that if you want an over-sized banner it does need to be properly hosted on another site.

This is from our tech admin and has been posted several times in the news docs on our site: If you wish to use a large banner, you may LINK to it from your summary (using the little chain image in the visual editor or with the <a> tag in HTML) .

I hope that clears up some of the confusion.

Also, if the admin of this forum wouldn't mind contacting me either here or over on JBFF I would greatly appreciate it
